PROCESS
STEP 1.
SKETCHING YOUR DRIVER’S SEAT
The initial stage in creating a bespoke Driver’s Seat involves analysing the visual language of the boat and translating your concept ideas into a detailed sketch. In this sketch, we outline the shape, materials and other visual elements, ensuring a representation that captures your preferences and the distinctive characteristics of your brand.
STEP 2.
A DIGITAL
3D DESIGN
Our design team translates the concept sketches into detailed digital 3D designs using CAD. This enables us to focus on crucial elements such as aesthetics, ergonomics and safety. Every part, from the carbon body to the head rests and seat, is drawn out in detail. This way, you’ll get a detailed view from every angle. CAD facilitates the creation of 2D patterns for textiles and 3D files for foam parts.
This process aims to visualise a one-of-a-kind, personalised seat tailored to your brand. You will receive a proposal to review. Your feedback guides us in refining the 3D design until it meets your desired level of perfection, attending to every detail. Once all necessary adjustments are made, we present the updated design for your approval.
STEP 3.
MODELLING
& FEEDBACK
Once you have approved the 3D designs, we will proceed to create a one-piece model. This representation will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the Driver’s Seat appearance and offer you the opportunity to experience it firsthand.
STEP 4.
PROTOTYPING
THE SEAT
Are you completely satisfied with the adjustments and new designs? Your official approval marks the final step before proceeding to the production stage, which involves creating all the necessary molds to fabricate the individual parts of your Driver’s Seat in large numbers. Using these molds, we will produce a prototype of your Driver’s Seat to ensure feasibility and address any potential issues.
Each component of the chair will be individually fabricated and assembled onto the carbon frame body, with upholstery executed in accordance with the approved designs. For the prototype we will use various CNC techniques, laser cutting, 3D milling, 3D printing and CNC stitching to assure rapid prototyping.
Once finalised, this prototype will be presented to you, offering a true-to-life representation of its appearance and comfort.
STEP 5.
FABRICATION
& DELIVERY
We are all set to begin fabricating your bespoke Driver’s Seat. The molds have been finalised and produced, enabling us to commence production of your customised Driver’s Seat upon request. Whether you’re constructing a new boat for a customer or in need of replacements, simply place an order for the desired number of chairs and we will meet your needs. Each seat is tailored to reflect your unique style, with your branding serving as the final touch.
